Remembering David Andres

For the Public,

The PSAI community was heartbroken to learn of the passing of long-time PSAI Member David Andres of Follow Your Process. David’s tenacity and passion for this industry and his PSAI community may be unmatched. David would regularly call the office at all hours to share his latest ideas, constantly pushing us to strive for more and to reach more people. He formerly served on the PSAI Board of Directors and most recently the Supplier Committee.

He regularly volunteered to promote PSAI through video—his love of storytelling is evident in his online presence. Less than two weeks ago, David shared a video with PSAI as part of a Supplier Video Competition. We hadn’t planned to share any of the video submissions yet. But these 30 seconds capture Dave perfectly: his love of travel, his commitment to shining a spotlight on the innovation in our industry, his dedication to his PSAI community, and his creative energy. Dave never missed an opportunity to remind us to “follow our process,” and he surely followed his every step of the way.

David Lawrence Andres died on January 7, 2024 of natural causes at his home in Houston, Texas. Dave was born in Wilmington, Delaware on August 28, 1966 to Lawrence Andres and Elizabeth “Libby” Andres (née Dyrness). After graduating from Westminster Christian Academy in St. Louis, Missouri, he earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Philosophy at Wheaton College in 1989.

That same year, Dave married Beverly Mason. They had three children together (Haley, Madison, and Jackson) before divorcing in 2017. Dave was a loving father, always championing the success of his children. He served on the Cranbury nursery school board, coached little league, taught his kids how to ski, and never missed a 4 AM hockey drop-off or lacrosse game. He was an immensely proud father.

The family will hold a private memorial in addition to a public celebration of life on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11 a.m. in Princeton, New Jersey. For more information on the memorial, please contact Jackson Andres via jacksonkandres@gmail.com.
